“Nothing is set in stone,” Principal Danny Gex said.

Exam exemptions entered the conversation after the Fall exams. A concept being considered is that it would be a ladder system, with after certain requirements freshman can be exempt from two, sophomores from three, juniors from 4, and seniors from all finals.

“The new policy is not likely to get passed and we will likely have to go to a system where only seniors can get exemptions based on their grades and number of absences,” Gex said.

It is possible, if it is approved, that this policy may not even go into effect until next school year.

“We are still fighting for the new policy to go through but I just don’t see it happening,” Gex said.
