Permian Prepares for Enchanted Evening

As the school year is coming to an end the event that all girls dream about is here. Prom 2015, Enchanted Forest, is this Saturday at Barn G of the Ector County Coliseum. As this date approaches people are getting extremely excited and anxious.

Senior Jessica Richards said, “As the days go by I get more and more eager to go to. ”

This year’s Junior Board designed a beautiful prom they are sure people will enjoy.

Some people are confused by the theme, but the members of the Junior Board explained that the theme falls in line with fairy-tales.

“The Enchanted Forrest theme is kind of hard to follow, it’s very spontaneous and we will see how that goes,” Senior Chelsea Murry said.

Others, however, are very excited about this year’s theme.

“I love the theme. Who doesn’t like a fairy tale,” Senior Ashlyn Davis said.

Many girls are excited because of all the amazing “Promposals” that have been happening lately. A girl looks forward to prom because they get a night where they can dress up and look like a princess.

“I’m excited because I want to wear my dress and I want to look like a princess and I think we are going to have fun because this is our last prom, so we have to make the best of it,” Senior Moya Sutton said.

The prom will be from 8 p.m. to midnight. Today is the last day to turn in paperwork for a non-Permian date. Tickets are $25 through Friday, $35 at the door.

The prom will be located in barn G at the Ector County Coliseum. Barn G is located on the side that is directly across the street from Keith’s Hamburger Station behind the coliseum.
