The Panthers made it to the second round of the playoffs with the win against Sam Houston Arlington. The score of Friday’s game was 31-7.

“It feels awesome being in the playoffs,” Senior Taylor Thompson said. “Growing up in Odessa I’ve always heard about all of these great Permian teams doing great things. It’s awesome to have the opportunity to become one of those teams.”

The Panthers record is now 8-3. They are now preparing to play against Amarillo Tascosa that has a record of 9-2 this season. Tascosa beat Franklin High from El Paso.

“We’re preparing just like we have all season,” Thompson said. “Taking it one day at a time, giving our all in practice to improve so we’re as ready as we can be when it comes game time.”

The game will be held Nov. 22 in Lubbock at Lowery Field at 1 pm. Permian will be the home team for the game. Student tickets are available at Permian until 5 p.m. Nov. 21 for $4. Tickets are also available at the Administration building, $8 for adults and $4 for students, and at the stadium for $10.
