The Permian Production presented their first play of the school year Oct 7. The Brothers Grimm Spectacuathon by Don Zolidis is a comedic play containing many different fairy tales such as Rapunzel, Snow White, and Little Red Riding Hood, except these fairy tales have a twist to them. Instead of romantic love stories, people are selling their soul to the devil only to marry a handsome prince, be wealthy, and also to to conceive children.

The play was very audience interactive, and last night’s audience did a great job in the play with their “chh chh chh, ahh ahh ahh” and “don’t go in there!” to warn the characters that something terrible is about to happen. Throughout the entire play the student theatre was filled with laughter. The actors did an outstanding job throughout the entire production. The play ran for approximately 110 minutes, with a 15 minute intermission the actors made sure to emphasize for restroom breaks.

The actors’ energy stayed constantly lively throughout the entire play, as well as hilarious. If you missed it, the student production will put on the performance once again tomorrow night, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. in the student theatre. Admission is $2 for students and $5 for adults.

Be ready to laugh, interact with the characters and enjoy a great play performed by a great cast.
